Sophomore defensive tackle Alvin Dempey had a key interception to halt an Itawamba drive and and return the momentum to the East Central Warriors in a 34-14 win Sept. 5. The 6-1, 288-pound standout from Port St. Joe, Fla., intercepted the pass at Warror 7-yard line and rumbled 74 yards to the ICC 19. From there the Warriors found the end zone and increased their lead to 24-0 in the third quarter.
