The Woods and White tennis fundraiser is scheduled for this Saturday, Nov. 6 in Decatur. The event will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Woods and Whites is a fun, social doubles tournament played like Wimbledon in the old days. Players must wear white clothing (minimum white shirt/T-shirt), play with white tennis balls, and hit with wood racquets, which are provided. The event is $30 per player and is payable on the day of the tournament. It will be mixed doubles, and ECCC will match individuals with a player if need. The doubles tournament will be a round-robin format with four-game pro sets and old-school nine-point tiebreakers, and it will be broken down between adult and high school divisions.
