Kade Dees joins the East Central Community College baseball coaching staff for the 2023-2024 season. Dees started his coaching career in 2022-2023 as a Graduate Assistant at Jones College, assisting with hitters and outfielders.

Dees helped the Statesmen achieve a 32-17 record and win the 2022 GSC Regular season title with a 20-7 record, leading them to the NCAA Division II South Region berth. Dees started 32 out of 36 games as a catcher during his time with the Statesmen. He hit four doubles, 16 RBI, two sac-flies, and four sac bunts throughout the season. Dees had four games where he scored multiple hits and multiple RBIs. His most productive game was against Montevallo (2.27), where he hit a double and scored three RBIs. He only allowed eight stolen bases in 36 games during the entire season. In 2021, he participated in 30 games and started 25 of them. He had a fielding percentage of .994 as a catcher for the Statesmen.

Dees played for Coach Kris Kirtland at Jones County Junior College in Ellisville, Miss., where he saw limited action in eight games as a reserve catcher. He hit .235 from the plate with a double and three RBIs, and He was 2-for-3 in a 7-5 win over Nunez, where he also stole a base.
At Madison Central High School in Madison, Miss., Dees played for former Statesmen Patrick Robey, and he hit .370 in his senior season, with five doubles and 18 RBIs.

He was part of the 2016 MHSAA 6A State Champions team and played youth baseball for the Jackson 96ers and Madison County Thunder. Additionally, Dees played football for the Jags.

Dees has a bachelor's degree in Health, Physical Education, and Recreation from Delta State University. He completed his master's in Sports and Coaching Performance at The University of Southern Mississippi.
