Warriors Fall at Home in OT

The Warriors of East Central Community College took the undefeated Lawson State Community College Cougars to overtime but ultimately fell short. The 82-78 loss moves the Warriors to 6-5 on the season.

The game was tightly contested throughout regulation. The student section fueled the Warriors, cheering and standing for almost the entire game.

A late putback layup after missed free throws by the Cougars sealed the Warrior's fate late in overtime.

Connor Rogers and Demarcus Powe lead the way offensively for the Warriors, scoring 24 and 20, respectively. Freshman Feteh Bensalah of Alegria continues to be effective on the offensive end and the glass, recording another double-double performance with 16 points and 11 rebounds.

The Warriors battled shooting and foul trouble all night but still found ways to stay in the game. The Warriors struggled from the floor and free throw line, shooting 35% from the floor and 67% from the free throw line.
