Gage Miller Represents ECCC at NJCAA Championship

East Central Community College's Gage Miller had a great outing at the NJCAA DII Championship at the Swan Lake Resort Black Course in Plymouth, Ind. on May 23 through May 26.

Miller, a sophomore from Anniston, Ala., was ECCC's individual representative and earned his bid as the low-round player at the Gulf District Championship at Beau Pré Country Club in Natchez in April.

Miller finished the national tournament tied for 91st with a four-day total of 320. He opened the tournament with a stellar birdie and finished the first round with a 76 (+4) followed by rounds of 85 (+13) and 82 (+10). The sophomore bounced back on the fourth day and jumped up seven spots after firing a very respectable 77 (+5), which included a birdie on the final hole to bookend the tournament with under-par holes.

Kirkwood Community College out of Iowa won the event with Parkland College of Champaign, Ill. finishing second. Warner Beach of Glendale Community College was the individual title winner with a six-under performance through four rounds.
