The East Central Community College Warrior golf team had another strong outing in MACCC with a top-three finish at the Jones Colege Invitational this week. 

In the team competition, Mississippi Gulf Coast secured the top spot with a total score of 601 (+25) with rounds of 299 (+11) and 302 (+14). Jones and East Central finished second and third, respectively, with scores of 634 (+58) and 640 (+64). Meridian and Co-Lin also posted impressive scores, finishing fourth and fifth with 643 (+67) and 647 (+71), respectively.

Individually, Will Thompson once again led the Warriors. Thompson finished at 153 (+9) after rounds of 78 (+6) and 75 (+3) to earn All-Tournament honors at fifth place. Braxton Cornish, another standout from East Central, secured 10th place with a combined score of 159 (+15) after rounds of 79 (+7) and 80 (+8). Paul Swanepoel's performance earned him the 18th position with a total score of 162 (+18), and Ashley Head ended in 28th place with a score of 166 (+22). Peyton Herrington finished the competition at 183 (+39), and Hayes Nance, competing as an individual, concluded with a total score of 194 (+50).
