Warriors Get 9-0 Tennis Win at Holmes

The East Central Community College tennis teams picked up a pair of 9-0 road wins over the teams from Holmes Community College in matches played Wednesday, Feb. 13, in Goodman.

With the shutout wins, the ECCC men are now 3-1 on the season, while the Lady Warriors improved to 2-2.

"Our women needed this win," said ECCC head coach Jay Pacelli. "I'm counting on this to be the start of good things to come. It was also nice to see our talented first-year players get victories."

Pacelli said that his men's side was absent freshman Dylan Barnett out of Newton County due to illness, and he was proud of how others players stepped up.
