ECCC to Host 2019 MACJC All-Star Basketball Games

East Central Community College is once again the host site for the annual Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges All-Star Basketball contests.

The doubleheader featuring sophomore players from the two-year colleges around the state will be held Friday, April 12, in Brackeen-Wood Gymnasium on the ECCC campus in Decatur. The North Division women and South Division women will face off at 5 p.m., and the North and South men's game will follow at 7 p.m.

Admission is $8 for adults and $5 for students.

East Central guard Josh Green out of Gulfport and Harrison Central High School will be a member of the South Division men's team. Lady Warrior forwards Whitney Waters of Heidelberg and Diamond Wraggs of Louisville will play on the South Division women's team.

In addition to ECCC's Waters and Wraggs, other members of the South Division women's team are T'Kyra Hicks, Copiah-Lincoln; Victoria Johnson, Hinds; Breonca Ducksworth, Maya Jones, and Kyia Weathersby, Jones; Mariah Collins, Meridian; Breannah McCullah, Gulf Coast; Gabby Brown and Elexis Peyton, Pearl River; and Jamaya Galloway, Southwest. The South Division will be coached by the women's staff at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College.

Members of the North Division women's squad are Walneika Holmes, Coahoma; Brianna Page, East Mississippi; Janae Collier and Jekalen Jones, Holmes; Shaniyah Buford, Taneshia Miller, and Kaylyn Wilson, Itawamba; Railyn Shelvin, Mississippi Delta; Cherelle Jones and Dayzsha Rogan, Northeast; and Kayla Bradley and Sydney Liddell, Northwest. The North Division will be coached by the women's staff at Mississippi Delta Community College.

In addition to ECCC's Green, members of the South Division men's squad are Miles Daniels, Copiah-Lincoln; Stephane Ayangma and Anthony Johnson, Hinds; Winceton Edwards and Michael Williams, Jones; Alex Oguinn, Meridian; DaJuan Moorer and LaRaymond Spivery, Gulf Coast; C.J. Brim and Jonas James, Pearl River; and Bob Boyd, Southwest. The South Division will be coached by the men's staff at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College.

Members of the North Division men's team are Robert Boyd and Daquan Morris, Coahoma; Malik Harper and Noel Jones, East Mississippi; Czar Perry and Winford Ross, Holmes; Quintaures Boatman and Avion Graham, Mississippi Delta; Antares Gwyn, Felix Hayes, and Denzel McDuffey, Northeast; and Jitaurious Gordon, Northwest. The North Division will be coached by the men's staff at Mississippi Delta Community College.
