East Central Community College sophomore forward Whitney Waters has signed a National Letter of Intent to continue her basketball career next year at Southern University at New Orleans. A product of Heidelberg High School, Waters averaged seven points and three rebounds a game this past season in helping lead the Lady Warriors to the National Junior College Athletic Association Region 23 Tournament. She was voted the team's Co-Most Valuable Offensive Player at the conclusion of the season and was selected for the 2019 Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges All-Star Basketball Game.
