Lady Warrior Soccer Falls 1-0 to No. 15 LSU Eunice

The East Central Community College soccer squads competed in the Rush Tournament at Meridian Community College Sept. 20, falling to the teams from LSU Eunice (La.).

The ECCC Lady Warriors lost 1-0 to the No. 15 ranked LSU Eunice Bengals. The Lady Warriors are now 4-3-1 on the season, while the LSU Eunice Bengals remain undefeated at 6-0-1.

"It was a great defensive performance against a very talented Eunice team," said ECCC Head Women's Coach Ryan Joiner. "We had one lapse in the first five minutes and we were punished by it. After the goal, the girls settled in and played well, but missed some chances to get the equalizing goal. We're excited about our progress and ready to host a couple of non-division opponents next week before resuming North Division play the following week!"

The ECCC Warriors dropped an 8-0 decision to LSU Eunice. With the loss, the Warriors are now 3-6 on the season. The LSU Eunice Bengals improved to 6-1.

The East Central soccer teams return home Tuesday, Sept. 24, when Gulf Coast visits the soccer pitch in Decatur for matches at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. East Central will host Jones College on Friday, Sept. 27, with the men's match starting at 5 p.m. and the women to follow at 7 p.m. in Bailey Stadium on campus.
