East Central Community College sophomore linebacker Anthony Blakely signed a national letter of intent Feb. 5 to play football next year for Mississippi Valley State University in Itta Bena. The Delta Devils compete in the Southwestern Athletic Conference and NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision. Blakely, a product of Greene County High School in Leakesville, started all nine games for the ECCC Warriors in 2019 and recorded 40 tackles, including 28 solo stops and six tackles for a loss.
