Brady McGee Leads the Warriors Past South Arkansas CC!

Brady McGee had a stellar performance, collecting three hits in five at-bats as the EC Warriors triumphed over South Arkansas CC with a score of 10-4 on Thursday. McGee's contributions included a solo home run to left field in the first inning, a single in the fourth inning, and another single in the eighth.

In the first inning, McGee blasted a solo home run to left field. However, South Arkansas CC responded in the second inning, taking the lead 2-1 with a single by Alex Showalter.

Jacob Ambriz added to South Arkansas CC's tally at the top of the third with a solo home run to right field. Nevertheless, the EC Warriors reclaimed the lead in the bottom of the fourth. Nic Arender's inside-the-park home run, driving in two runs, propelled them ahead 4-3.

The momentum continued for the EC Warriors as they scored one run in the fifth inning courtesy of Mo Little's solo home run to left field. In the bottom of the seventh inning, they extended their lead with four runs on three hits. Barret Rodgers' double brought in one run, while Jayden Adcox's homer to left field accounted for three more runs.

Luke Cooley secured the win for the EC Warriors, pitching five innings, allowing five hits and three runs while striking out six and walking four. Conversely, Ryan Ursery took the loss for South Arkansas CC, pitching three and two-thirds innings and conceding four runs on seven hits.

Notably, the EC Warriors amassed 15 hits in the game, with McGee and Rodgers each contributing three hits. Adcox led the team with three batted runs, going 2-for-4. Arender, Little, and Cyrus Rone made significant offensive contributions with multiple hits.

Additionally, the EC Warriors demonstrated their prowess on the basepaths, recording four stolen bases during the game. They also executed two double plays defensively and maintained a flawless fielding performance, with Adcox making 13 plays without committing a single error.

The Warriors will play again at home on Friday, February 9th at 2 PM.
