Barret Rodgers launched two home runs and drove in three runs, propelling the East Central Warriors to an 8-3 victory over the St. Charles Community College Cougars on Friday.

The Warriors got on the scoreboard early in the bottom of the first inning when Rodgers blasted a homer to center field, bringing in two runs. Jayden Adcox followed suit with a single, adding another run, while Nic Arender drew a walk, contributing to one more run.

In the bottom of the seventh, Rodgers struck again with a solo home run to center field.

Bryson Goff clinched the win for the Warriors, pitching two innings without allowing a hit or run, striking out four batters, and issuing two walks. Marbin Lezcano provided solid relief for East Central, pitching three innings and allowing three runs on six hits while striking out four and walking one.

The Diamond Warriors amassed ten hits during the game, with Mo Little and Kelby Jordan leading the charge with multiple hits each. Additionally, the Warriors executed one double play.

The Diamond Warriors will resume action at home on Tuesday, February 13th, with games scheduled for 2 PM and 5 PM.
