The No. 10 East Central Community College Warriors are off to one of the best starts in program history. They remain undefeated after a 10-6 victory over the No. 4 Lansing Community College.

Lansing Stars were the first to get on the board in the first when Kevin Davis homered to left field, scoring two runs.
EC Warriors tied the game in the bottom of the second thanks to a solo home run to center field by Trey Bridges and a walk by John Leyton Lewis.
A double by Bridges gave EC Warriors the lead,
3-2, in the bottom of the third.
Vince Hardy hit a sacrifice fly, which helped Lansing Stars tie the game at three in the top of the fourth.
In the bottom of the fourth, EC Warriors broke the tie when Brady McGee singled, scoring one run. Then a sacrifice fly by Barret Rodgers followed to extend the lead to 5-3.
Evan Folse earned the win for the Warriors. The righty surrendered zero hits and runs over one and one-third innings, striking out three and walking none. Drew Nurenberg took the loss for Lansing Stars. The starting pitcher went four and two-thirds innings, surrendering seven runs (six earned) on ten hits, striking out four and walking four. Chris Billingsley stepped on the bump first for EC Warriors. They allowed three hits and two runs over two innings, striking out four and walking none. Rex Henderson collected the save. Connor Aplin, Rhett Atkinson, Creed Fulton, Hayden Dodson, Carson Ellis, and Parker Martin each threw scoreless innings for EC Warriors in relief.
EC Warriors amassed 15 hits in the game.
Marvin Jackson, EC Warriors's number nine hitter, led the team with three hits in three at-bats. McGee led EC Warriors with three runs batted in. The leadoff hitter went 2-for-4 on the day. Jayden Adcox and Bridges each collected multiple hits for the Warriors. The Warriors turned one double play in the game.

The Warriors will travel to Itawamba to face off against Coahoma and Itawamba in a three-team round-robin format on Wednesday, March 6.
