Brady McGee Homers Twice as the Warriors Finish Nonconference Play 23-0

Brady McGee hit two home runs and drove in three as EC Warriors defeated Kankakee Cavaliers 6-0 on Thursday. McGee homered in the seventh and fifth innings.

Evan Folse started things off strong for the Warriors as the pitching staff combined to throw a shutout. EC Warriors's pitchers struck out 11 on the way to victory.

EC Warriors were the first to get on the board in the third when Barret Rodgers singled, scoring one run.

EC Warriors scored two runs in the bottom of the fifth on a home run to left field by McGee.

EC Warriors scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh on McGee's home run to left field.

Folse earned the win for the EC Warriors. The right-handed pitcher allowed two hits and zero runs over five and two-thirds innings, striking out eight and walking two. Graham Kasey took the loss for the KCC Cavaliers. The southpaw went six innings, surrendering three runs (two earned) on two hits, striking out six and walking three. Connor Aplin, Parker Martin, and Riley Passman each came on in relief for EC Warriors and shut down KCC Cavaliers.

McGee and Rodgers each collected two hits for EC Warriors. Marvin Jackson stole two bases. EC Warriors stole three bases in the game. EC Warriors turned one double play in the game. EC Warriors were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Liam Gilbert had the most chances in the field with 10.

The Warriors end non-conference play with a perfect 23-0 record! They will face off against Coahoma on the road this Sunday.
