Warriors Reach 28-0!

The No. 1 Warriors remain perfect on the season after defeating Baton Rouge by run rule in the 8th inning. The Diamond Warriors now sit at 28-0 as they continue their record season pace.

Mo Little drove in four runs on three hits to lead EC Warriors past Baton Rouge Community College 13-3 on Saturday. Little hit a home run to left field in the sixth inning, scoring three runs, and singled in the first inning, scoring one.

EC Warriors got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Little singled, scoring one run; Trey Bridges singled, scoring two runs; and Liam Gilbert laid down a sacrifice bunt, scoring one run.
Gilbert hit a solo home run to left field in the bottom of the fourth for the East Central Warriors.

The Warriors scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth on Little's home run to left field.

Chris Billingsley earned the win for the East Central Warriors. The starting pitcher surrendered three hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out four and walking two. Cade Robin took the loss for Baton Rouge Community College. They went four and one-third innings, giving up seven runs on eight hits, striking out five and walking one. Creed Fulton, Hayden Dodson, Carson Ellis, and Riley Passman each threw scoreless innings for EC Warriors in relief.

The EC Warriors collected 16 hits in the game. Bridges and Little were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in four runs. Gilbert and Barret Rodgers each collected multiple hits. EC Warriors didn't commit a single error in the field. Gilbert had the most chances in the field, with six.

The Warriors will head to Raymond on Tuesday, March 19, to take on conference foe Hinds Community College.
