ECCC Battles Pearl River for NJCAA World Series Berth

The stakes couldn't be higher this week as No. 5 East Central Community College travels to Poplarville to take on No. 2 Pearl River in the NJCAA Region 23 Super Regional. The winner of this best-of-three series will punch their ticket to the NJCAA Division II World Series in Enid, Oklahoma, May 24–31.

Due to a schedule adjustment, the series will now be played May 15–17 at Dub Herring Park. First pitch for the Thursday and Friday games is set for 5 p.m., with a deciding game—if needed—scheduled for Saturday at 2 p.m.

The two teams split a conference doubleheader earlier this season, with East Central dominating the opener 10-0 before falling in the nightcap 11-1.

Fans planning to attend the "Super Regional" can purchase tickets for $15 per day at PRCCAthletics.com/tickets. Please note: all Pearl River box offices operate cashless, so advance purchase is recommended.

Fans unable to attend can watch all three games live and for free at PRCCMedia.com/Gold. Those with Roku, Amazon Fire, or Apple TV can stream by downloading the "Pearl River CC" channel. The games will also be broadcast on 1320 AM and 106.9 FM in Pearl River County and online at WRJWRadio.com.
