It was a perfect night for Warrior football. The temperature was pleasant, the concessions were tasty in Bailey Stadium, and the Warrior fans were ready for a gridiron battle. However, the final score was not the perfect ending for the home team. The Bobcats defeated the Warriors 38-7.

The Jones College Bobcats received the opening kickoff. They marched down the field and scored on a three-yard touchdown run. Jones held the lead 7-0. The Warriors fought hard and showed great effort. However, penalties impacted the lack of success for the home team during the first half. When the first half ended the score stood at Jones 24 East Central 0. In the second half, the Warriors cracked the scoreboard. At the 9:51 mark, Tony Deloach scooped up a fumble and ran in for an eight-yard touchdown. Cade Mangum kicked the PAT. That would be the only scoring for either team in the third quarter. Jones would add two more scoring drives to cap off the night.

East Central will travel to Southwest in Summit, to take on the Bears on Oct 5th at 6:30 p.m.
