The East Central Community College Warrior basketball team fell to the Meridian Community College Eagles on Monday night, 87-78. The loss dropped the Warriors to 10-7, 1-4 on the year while the Eagles improved to 12-4, 4-2. 

The action was tight in the first half, but the Eagles were able to pull out to a 48-40 lead going into the locker room. 

MCC hung on to that lead throughout the second half to secure the 87-78 win. 

The Warriors will be back at home this Thursday, January 26 as the team takes on the Mississippi Gulf Coast Bulldogs at 6 p.m. in Brackeen-Wood Gymnasium in Decatur. Fans that cannot attend the game in person can watch the action live at www.eccclive.com/gold.
