MOORHEAD, Miss. – The East Central Community College men's basketball team clinched a hard-fought 59-55 road victory over Mississippi Delta Community College on Monday night, securing their spot in the 2025 MACCC Men's Basketball Playoffs.

The Warriors overcame a five-point halftime deficit, outscoring the Trojans 31-22 in the second half to complete the comeback. Fateh Bensalah led the charge with a dominant performance, tallying 16 points, 10 rebounds, and seven blocks. Tamarion Jones contributed 12 points, while Daniel Zatsepin added 11 points and seven rebounds. 

With the win, East Central (16-12, 7-7) officially qualifies for the postseason and will face Southwest Mississippi in the first round of the MACCC Playoffs on Thursday, March 6, in Summit, Miss.

The Warriors will look to carry their momentum into the playoffs as they aim for a deep postseason run.
