Warriors Receive Post-Season Awards

East Central Community College had two men's soccer players earn post-season hardware for their play on the pitch throughout the 2023 season. ECCC defender Anthony Cruz and forward Efezino Owhe receive recognition as Second Team All MACCC and Honorable Mention ALL MACCC selections, respectively.

Cruz is a Freshman from Montreal, Quebec, and was an integral part of the Warrior's competitiveness on the field this season.
"Anthony brought stability to us defensively this year with his experience and consistency. He helped keep us in games and even provided goals on set pieces, "said Ethan Pascal.
Owhe was a pace pusher for the Warriors this season his athleticism aided the Warrior's offensive attack.

"Zino is a guy that has the ability to run the game. His versatility made us more dynamic and dangerous going forward. I think this year is just a preview of what he's capable of, "said Paschal.

The Warriors made the playoffs this season as the 5th seed after finishing the regular season with an overall record of 5-9-1 and a 5-6 conference record. ECCC ended their season in a tightly contested double OT battle in the Region 23 quarterfinals to Itawamba.
