Decatur, MS—The East Central Community College Men's soccer team hopes for a competitive fall season in the MACCC. Head Coach Ethan Pascal is entering his fourth season at the program's helm. The Warriors made the playoffs last season as the 5th seed after finishing the regular season with an overall record of 5-9-1 and a 5-6 conference record. "I'm Excited for the season ahead with the quality players we have in camp. We're looking to improve on the position we finished the conference with last year," said head soccer coach Ethan Pascal.
The Warriors are returning 11 players from last season, including All-MACCC defender Anthony Cruz and forward Efezino Owhe, who were recognized as Second Team All-MACCC and Honorable Mention ALL-MACCC selections at the end of last season. "Anthony brought stability to us defensively last year with his experience and consistency. He helped keep us in games and even provided goals on set pieces, "said Ethan Pascal. "Zino is a guy that can run the game. His versatility will make us more dynamic and dangerous as we advance. I think last year was just a preview of what he's capable of, "said Paschal.
The Warriors welcome three international players to the squad: FR forward Tom Edge and FR forward Michael Lismore of Everton Football College in Liverpool, England, and FR goalkeeper Jacobo Giraldo-Herrera out of Chinchina, Caldas, Colombia.
