Warriors Outlast Bishop State, 6-3

The Lady Warriors of East Central picked up their second win of the season and the day on Friday, Feb. 3 in Lafayette, La. with a 6-3 victory over Bishop State. The team opened up scoring in the second inning with a solo homer by Meadow Villar and also scored in the next two frames.

Rae Rae Evans was in the circle for the Lady Warriors, allowing three runs over five and a third innings while striking out four and walking one. Grace Lucas started the game for Bishop State, but went six innings and allowed six runs on three hits while striking out three.

Villar went 2-for-3 at the plate, leading the team in hits, while Emmi Harkins and Janci Aube both picked up one hit. 

Bishop State managed to rack up six hits in the game, with Aniyah Burnett and Maddie Bozeman both getting multiple hits. Despite their efforts, Bishop State was unable to overcome the Lady Warriors' ability to capitalize on Bishop State's five errors.
