On Thursday, the East Central Community College Lady Warriors clinched a thrilling 3-2 walk-off victory against Illinois Central College. The game was deadlocked at two in the bottom of the seventh inning when an error allowed the winning run to score.

Pitching proved to be a highlight for both teams, with the Lady Warriors' pitchers racking up an impressive 13 strikeouts, while Illinois Central College managed to sit down five batters.

Illinois Central College drew first blood in the second inning thanks to an error, which brought in one run. However, the Lady Warriors quickly responded, taking a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the third. Reagan Bryan's homer to left field and a run scored on a passed ball propelled the Lady Warriors into the lead.

Emily Collins secured the win for the Lady Warriors with a stellar performance on the mound. She pitched a complete game, surrendering just five hits and two runs (one earned) over seven innings while striking out 13 batters and issuing three walks. Hanna Evans was credited with the loss for Illinois Central College, pitching six and two-thirds innings, allowing three runs (two earned) on five hits, striking out five, and walking seven.

Leadoff hitter Bryan led the Lady Warriors' offense with a 2-for-3 performance at the plate. Kaitlyn Jones drew two walks, contributing to the team's strong plate discipline, which saw them collect seven walks throughout the game.
