Lady Warriors swept Coastal Alabama North on the Road

The Lady Warriors swept Coastal Alabama in Monroeville, AL, securing their sixth and seventh wins in a two-game sweep.

The East Central Community College Lady Warriors emerged victorious against Coastal AL North with a score of 9-4 on Tuesday in Monroeville.

Coastal AL North took an early lead in the bottom of the first inning when Michayla Kent doubled, followed by Sydney Taylor grounding out, resulting in one run. However, Kaitlyn Jones' single in the top of the third inning helped the East Central Community College Lady Warriors tie the game at two.

The Lady Warriors then seized the lead in the fourth inning. Darleigh Jeter induced Jenna Chamblee to hit into a fielder's choice, allowing one run to score, putting East Central Community College ahead 3-2.

Emily Collins earned the win as the right-handed pitcher for East Central Community College Lady Warriors, giving up two hits and two unearned runs across five innings. She struck out three batters and walked two. Darleigh Jeter took the loss for Coastal AL North after pitching seven innings, allowing nine runs (six earned) on 13 hits. She struck out four and walked two. Sarah Grace Jones appeared in relief for East Central Community College Lady Warriors.
