Lady Warriors Sweep Bishop State

The Lady Warriors continued their winning ways. Today's sweep makes four wins in a row for the Lady Warriors, who are now 9-3 on the season.
East Central Community College Lady Warriors easily defeated the Bishop State Wildcats on Thursday with a score of 12-3. They took an early lead with two home runs in the second inning, first by Lauren Dunbar and then by Jenna Chamblee. Janci Aube's double and Sydney Phillips' sacrifice fly in the third extended their lead. Bishop State Wildcats scored three runs in the fourth inning courtesy of a home run by Kayley Weaver.

The Lady Warriors continued their dominance with three more runs in the fourth, highlighted by Chamblee's solo home run and Sophia Romero's triple. Emma Rankin's three-run homer in the sixth sealed the victory.

Pitcher Emily Collins secured the win for the Lady Warriors, allowing only four hits and three runs over six innings. Emma Mooney took the loss for the Wildcats, giving up 12 runs on 15 hits.

The Lady Warriors triumphed over the Wildcats 7-3 in the second game. Aniyah Mcghee-Burnett's single put the Wildcats ahead in the first inning, but Emma Rankin's single in the second tied the game. The Lady Warriors surged forward in the third inning with five runs, including a crucial double by Sydney Phillips.

Pitcher Sarah Grace Jones won, while Janci Aube collected the save. Reagan Bryan led the Lady Warriors with three hits, while Rankin and Phillips each contributed two RBIs. The Lady Warriors displayed strong defense, stealing three bases and committing no errors in the field. Jenna Chamblee had the most chances in the field with six.

Next Wednesday, the Lady Warriors will travel to Marion Military for a double-header rematch of the season opener.
