Decatur, MS—On Tuesday, the No. 13 Lady Warriors welcomed conference opponent Hinds Community College to the East Central Community College Softball Complex. The Lady Warriors split the doubleheader with the visiting Lady Eagles, bringing their record to 19-5 overall and 5-1 in conference.

Hinds opened the scoring in the top of the first, thanks to three singles. Hinds first got on the board when Ellie Williamson singled, scoring one run.

Emily Vicknair earned the win for Hinds. The starting pitcher allowed five hits and two runs over six innings, striking out one and walking three. Emily Collins took the loss for East Central. The righty went seven innings, giving up five runs (zero earned) on eight hits, striking out eight and walking one.

Emma Rankin led the Lady Warriors with two runs batted in.

They went 1-for-1 on the day. Kaitlyn Jones went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead East Central Community College Lady Warriors in hits. East Central Community College Lady Warriors had a strong eye at the plate, tallying four walks for the game.

Game Two

Lady Warriors got on the board in the bottom of the third inning after Sophia Romero singled and Kaitlyn Jones grounded out, each scoring one run.

Janci Aube earned the win for East Central Community College Lady Warriors. The right-handed pitcher allowed two hits and two runs over seven innings, striking out six and walking three. Emily Vines took the loss for Hinds.

They went three and one-third innings, giving up five runs (four earned) on seven hits, striking out three and walking none.
Reagan Bryan set the tone at the top of the lineup, leading East Central Community College Lady Warriors with two hits in four at-bats.
Romero, Bryan, Jenna Chamblee, Jones, and Sydney Phillips each drove in one run for East Central Community College Lady Warriors.
Romero stole two bases. The Lady Warriors stole three bases in the game.

The Lady Warriors will travel to Sentatobia on Saturday to take on Northwest Community College.
