Warriors Rout SACC and move to 8-0

The East Central Community College Lady Warriors moved to 8-0 on the year on Monday night with a 91-46 victory over Southern Arkansas Community College. The Warriors' stout defense and quick hands proved too much for the visiting Stars. The Lady Warriors tallied a total of twenty-seven steals as a team.

The Lady Warriors got off to a slow start offensively in the first quarter, with the visiting SACC getting out to a slight early lead in the first three minutes of the contest. Miriam Prince made a two-point basket to tie the game up at 10 - 10 at the 5:46 mark in the first. 

The lead ballooned to a ten-point margin of 24-14 as the Lady Warriors began to find the basket. 

The second half was more of the same as the Lady Warriors continued to pull away. The defensive activity propelled the Lady Warriors' who scored forty points off turnovers.

Miriam Prince, Shay Hunter, Leilaya McMillian, and Nikki Stanic reached double figures in the Monday night contest.
