Best Womens' Basketball Season in Recent Memory Ends in the Quarterfinals

The Lady Warriors' season ended this Monday night in Perkinston, MS, against the No. 1 Mississippi Gulf Coast in the NJCAA Region 23 Quarterfinals. The Lady Warriors finished the season with a 19-11 record. This year was a great bounceback year for second-year head coach Betsy Harris. The 19 wins were the most in the Lady Warriors' 9-plus years.

Freshman Miriam Prince led the Lady Warriors offensively all season, averaging 16 points a game and amassing over 400 total points in just one season. Sophomores Lexus Keyes and Kyla Farmer proved reliable down the stretch of conference play. Before Monday night's loss, the Lady Warriors had strung together five straight wins, including an 85-71 opening-round win over Southern University-Shreveport.

The Lady Warriors hope to welcome an exciting recruiting class next season. With a mix of returners and newcomers, the Lady Warriors' basketball 2024-2025 season should be exciting.
