Coming on the heels of a First Team All-MACCC selection, East Central Community College freshman forward Sasha Clare (Belfast, United Kingdom) has been named NJCAA All-Region 23 for her team-leading efforts throughout the Lady Warriors' incredible soccer season. 

"Sasha has been a model student-athlete and is deserving of this honor for her play on the field," said ECCC head women's soccer coach Ryan Joiner. "She was consistent and scored several game-winning and big-time goals for the team."

Clare posted a team-best eight goals on the season with 19 shots on goal through 15 matches and 12 starts. She also showed her tenacity as she played with a cast on her arm due to an injury sustained during the season. The All-Region recognition goes along with the left-footer's All-MACCC selection, one MACCC Player of the Week selection, and one United Soccer Coaches Player of the Week selection for accolades collected thus far. 

The Lady Warriors finished the year 11-3-2 overall, were ranked nationally for the first time in program history, climbed all the way to No. 13 in the polls, hosted a home playoff match, and finished the year as MACCC/NJCAA Region 23 semifinalists.
