The East Central Community College Lady Warriors blanked the Southwest Lady Bears, 9-0, in a nice bounce-back win after falling to Co-Lin earlier in the week.
"Our ladies really came out and took care of business, and it felt good to get this bounce-back win," said ECCC head coach Jay Pacelli. "We had several strong matches with players like Anna Moore gutting out a tough one."
The Lady Warriors took all three doubles matches as Natalia Beltran (Bogota, Colombia) and Alejandra Vargas (Bogota, Colombia) won 8-3 at No. 1, while Anna Moore (Decatur) and Sarah Cline (Brandon) won handily at No. 2, 8-1. Laila Sisson (Collinsville) and Madison Autry (Kosciusko) were in the No. 3 slot and grabbed a win as Southwest did not finish the match.
Singles play was equally as dominating as the Lady Warriors picked up wins at every match. The wins move ECCC to 3-4 on the season.
